Just End The Season

The New York Jets lost to the Baltimore Ravens last night and now the sky is falling and everything is wrong. They are now being told to be quiet after doing nothing but tell everyone who would listen how great they are. They are 0-1 and it would seem that the fans are ready to give up the season on what they perceive to be a paper tiger. While it was enjoyable to see them taken down a peg after all their talk while accomplishing little, the fans have to have a little more faith. I mean, if you're going to say the season is over after 1 game, then what is the point of even being a fan and watching the games. Certainly each game in the NFL season does take on added importance because the season is so short, but to be ready to give up after 1 loss is just ridiculous. To be fair, only two teams made the playoffs last season after losing their first game (Bengals and Cardinals) so the road to the playoffs is not easy; however, the Broncos started the season 6-0 and didn't make the playoffs.
